About Me
Hello! My name is Lucy A. Hutcheson and I own Pure Light Designs. Here's a little history about how I started in the graphic and web design field. I am from the U.S. Territory of Guam. There was such a need for quality, affordable graphic design and website development. The visual communications field was new and not very many people were available. I saw the open door and took it.
I created my first, self-taught website in 2000. After looking for Tweety products all over the web for my newborn daughter in 1999, I decided to list them on one site. I used Geocities, a site where almost every other web designer started. Then I started creating Tweety graphics for other people to download after they kept on "borrowing" mine.
From there, my journey progressed to Guam Community College where I was enrolled in their new Visual Communications Program. I was hired to work at IT&E Overeas, Inc. as the full-time webmaster based on some preliminary work I had done at school. My job at IT&E consisted of me rebuilding their huge website, which consisted of 7 different corporate sites.
My freelancing started when I registered for my business license and built my first website as a business owner in January 2005 for Abundant Life AG church. It has been a great experience working with many different clients who have become my friends. I stepped out and launched my full-time self-employment career in May of 2007 and have not looked back since.

As a Christian graphic/web designer, I am held by the highest authority to work with excellence in everything I do no matter who it is. Now that I have moved to Copperas Cove, Texas on May 27, 2009, my adventure is just beginning as I seek to bring my experience and joy of designing to the Lonestar state.
